Eligibility Criteria
Flying Branch
- Age: 20 to 24 years (up to 26 years for CPL holders)
- Educational Qualification:
- Mandatory Math and Physics at 10+2 level with minimum 50% marks.
- Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks or BE/B Tech with 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical Branches)
- Age: 20 to 26 years
- Educational Qualification:
- Technical Branch: Minimum four-year degree in Engineering/Technology or cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks.
- Non-Technical Branches:
- Weapon System: Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks or BE/B Tech with 60% marks.
- Meteorology: BSc with Physics and Mathematics with 60% marks or equivalent.
- Administration & Logistics: Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks.
- Accounts: Graduation in Commerce or related fields with 60% marks.
- Education: Post-graduation with 50% marks and graduation with 60% marks.

Syllabus
The syllabus for AFCAT 2 2024 includes the following subjects:
- English: Comprehension, cloze test, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, phrases, error spotting.
- General Knowledge: Indian History, Polity, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Current Affairs.
- Reasoning and Military Aptitude: Series, Venn diagrams, syllogism, blood relations, non-verbal and verbal reasoning, military aptitude.
- Mathematics: Number system, HCF and LCM, time, distance and speed, time and work, ratio and proportion, percentage, average, simple interest and compound interest, pipes and cistern.

The selection process includes three stages:
- Written Exam
- AFSB Testing
- Stage 1: Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT)
- Stage 2: Psychological Tests, Group Tests, AFSB Interview, and CPSS Test (for Flying Branch)

- Squadron Leader: Rs. 69,400 – 2,07,200

- Air Commodore: Rs. 1,39,600 – 2,17,600
- Air Vice Marshal: Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200
